1. Current technologies
This notice covers the reviewed standalone Searchscope website. Cookies are browser-held values sent with requests; local storage stays in the browser and can persist between sessions. Both can involve privacy requirements. Our present application uses these functions for sign-in and the cart you request, not for cross-site advertising.
| Name / technology | Purpose | Duration and control |
|---|---|---|
| searchscope_session · first-party cookie | Authenticate the account session. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure over HTTPS. The server stores a digest, not the raw browser token. | Up to 7 days. Sign out ends the current server session; password reset revokes sessions. Browser settings can also remove cookies. |
| searchscope.keyword-cart.v9 · local storage | Keep selected keywords and estimate snapshots on this browser. Earlier v1–v8 values may exist from older versions and are read for migration. | No application-set automatic expiry. Remove items, clear the cart data through Privacy choices, or use browser storage controls. |
| searchscope.cart-preferences.v1 · local storage | Remember selected clicks, spending mode and budget for your requested cart. | No application-set automatic expiry; same browser controls as the cart. |
| searchscope.demo-orders.v1 and searchscope.demo-profile.v1 · legacy local/session storage | Old demo versions could store browser-local orders and a temporary demo identity. Existing local order data may be read for a signed-in legacy import; the standalone password sign-in does not rely on this old demo identity. | Local data can remain until cleared; session storage normally ends with the browsing session. Current server orders are separate. |
2. Controls and consequences
Privacy choices provides a way to clear only known Searchscope cart and legacy demo storage from this browser. It does not delete server orders, campaigns, balances or your account and does not sign you out. Other devices and browser profiles have separate storage. Use account sign-out and browser cookie controls for the session.
Blocking necessary storage can prevent sign-in or remembering a cart. You can still read these legal pages without signing in. Browser deletion can remove a local cart permanently; saved server records remain accessible through the account subject to applicable retention.
3. Analytics, advertising and future consent
The reviewed application has no installed optional analytics tag, marketing pixel or cross-site advertising-cookie feature. We have not added an ‘Accept all’ banner that purports to authorize tracking that does not exist. Necessary storage must remain limited to the requested function.
Adding optional analytics, retargeting, conversion tracking or publisher advertising technology requires a new inventory and notice and any required prior consent or opt-out controls. Non-essential advertising storage must not be loaded first and justified later by continued browsing or bundled terms. A future preference control must make withdrawal effective, not merely save a cosmetic setting.
4. Signals, external websites and contact
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control do not disable necessary sign-in/requested cart operations. There is presently no sale/sharing or cross-site advertising on this reviewed site for a signal to stop. Before adding such processing, required signal handling must be implemented and the Privacy Policy updated.
External links and separate mail/provider websites follow their own cookie practices. Contact admin@keywordsandbanners.com with questions. This inventory must be reviewed again whenever browser integrations change.
